Milissa has been a welcoming face at the front counter of Civic Dance Center since 2022, bringing her years of experience and passion for dance to the role. Milissa had a long and fulfilling career, spending 22 years at William Sims Law Corporation and another 22 years at California State University Bakersfield.

Milissa is a proud mother of two grown children, Jarrod and Erica, and son-in-law Eric. Milissa is also a devoted pet owner to two dogs and two cats. Her love for talking and helping others makes her a go-to person for any questions you may have. Having spent many years as a dance mom, she treats all the children she encounters with the same care and attention she gives her own.

In semi-retirement, Milissa has rediscovered her love for dance, joining in on Gala events and participating in the adult tap class. Her happy place is sharing a meal with friends and attending the ballet, where she finds inspiration and joy. Milissa current serves as the board president of Bakersfield City Ballet, further fostering her passion for the arts in the community.
