We have so much going on at Civic Dance Center in April!
We will be closed Saturday, April 1st through Sunday, April 9th for Spring Break. Enjoy your time off. No classes until Monday, April 10th.
Our next Active Start classes will be starting a new 6 week session the week of April 10th. This class is for 2-4 year olds. If you are anyone you know is interested, please let us know. The classes are filling up quickly.
There are many activities that come up in the spring time. Please make sure your dancer attends their classes. All classes are now considered rehearsals as we prepare for Gala.
Congratulations to the following dancers: Maddi Bema, Chloe Bickford, Jessica Ela, Noor Elkereamy, Grayson Gallella, Ella Gove, Hannah Horwedel, Victoria Marchetti, Janessa Nankil, Jillian Wuertz, and Alex Zaletel. These dancers all performed solos in the Youth America Grand Prix competition. Grayson placed second for Contemporary men, Noor and Janessa placed Top 24 for contemporary women. Company members of Bakersfield City Ballet also performed in this competition placing Top 6 for the ensemble piece, “Oblivion” choreographed by Alicia Angelini.
As we start to get close to summer, please let us know if your dancers have been accepted to any summer dance programs. We would love to share the news and celebrate their accomplishments. It’s time for our next restaurant fundraiser to help raise money for the Nutcracker Symphony. California Pizza Kitchen will donate 20% of all sales on April 12.
April tuition is now due.
