Evolved Bodies Summer Dance Intensives 2025
We have an amazing line up for this year’s summer intensives. Civic Dance Center will host Evolved Bodies featuring master teacher faculty and current industry professionals. The four day intensive focuses on developing well rounded dancers through exposure to a variety of disciplines. Dancers will receive instruction in ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, and contemporary. There are three different age/level options. Registration forms are linked here. Space is limited so reserve your spot immediately. This intensive is not limited to Civic students, however, you must meet the age and experience requirements detailed in the registration forms. The Artistic Director may change the level of any dancer at any time.

Ricky Palomino – Ballet / Contemporary
Ricky was an original member of Cedar Lake Dance Company in New York City, H. T. Chen Dance & Co. and was an Alvin Ailey and Broadway Dance Center Scholarship recipient. He recently choreographed the 55 minute theatrical show, “The Transit of Venus” for the Kielecki Teatr Tanca in Poland. He was a dancer in the hit FOX show, “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 3, as a Contemporary Dancer and was recently a Macy’s Stars of Dance dancer for “Dancing with the Stars” and Movement One’s dance documentary Dancer created by Emmy nominated choreographer Teddy Forance. Ricky has guest taught as a master teacher at numerous dance studios around the globe, has assisted Emmy award winning choreographers, Mia Michaels on Season 4 of SYTYCD, Cirqu Du Soliel’s “Believe” show, “The MindFreak” choreographed by Emmy award winning choreographer Wade Robson, and also assisted Emmy nominated choreographer Chris Scott on SYTYCD Season 9. Ricky has worked alongside Gloria Estefan and choreographed for The Pointer Sisters, Kristine W, Taylor Dane, and the legendary Patti LaBelle. Aside from dance, he has recorded two music albums which can be found on iTunes, distributed in more than 22 countries: Hyperactive Involvement and Amateurely Honest.
Gabby David – Contemporary / House / Jazz
Gabby David is a professional dancer, teacher, choreographer and social media personality signed to Go2 Talent Agency and Selter Media. Gabby has been training in dance for 24 years, she is trained in ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, street jazz, Bollywood, shuffling, cutting shapes, house, and more. Gabby’s love for choreography started very early on in her dance career; she has gone on to be hired as a choreographer for Epic Games. She created the choreography for the Electro Shuffle Emote in Fortnite, and was also hired as the choreographer for international DJ Don Diablo. She has choreographed and danced in 5 music videos and multiple commercials for brands such as DSW Shoes, Under Armor, Polaroid, Snyders Pretzels, Ellie Activewear, Electric Syles, and more. She was able to get an early start on teaching and how to approach teaching under some of the absolute best in the industry as a touring assistant to West Coast Dance Explosion, Artists Simply Human, iHollywood, and more! She has toured teaching at multiple studios across the US, Cerdafied Takeover Convention, and is now a resident teacher at 24/7 Dance Dance Studio and Cerdafied Dance Studio. She was an assistant teacher in episodes of Raising Asia and Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition. Gabby has danced for brands and artists such as Tiesto, CID, Christ Lake, San Holo, Oliver Heldens, Insomniac, Bang Energy, Dimmak, Steve Aoki, Night Bass, Musical Freedom, and more! Gabby’s approach to dance, choreography, and teaching is unique and refreshing and heavily focuses on making the environment a safe and fun place for all.
Struther White – Technique / Modern
Struther White began his professional dance career in Los Angeles in 2011 after moving from his hometown Frederick, Maryland. Currently represented by Clear Talent Group, he has worked with music sensations including Kanye West, Blake Shelton, Sofia Carson, Backstreet Boys, Eden XO, Aluna George, Jack Black, Will.i.Am, Leona Lewis, Sam Tsui, and was on the 2016 Purity Ring Tour. Struther has also created a successful career for himself in the television industry and can be seen in commercials for GAP, The Greatest Showman, Ellen, AUDI, Maserati, Volvo, Ford, Staples, Vivienne Westwood, and JOY. He has performed on the Emmys, The Ellen Show, People’s Choice Awards with Rita Ora, and assisted Mia Michaels for Season 14 of So You Think You Can Dance. He has also performed live for VMAs in Beijin, China, MAC cosmetics tour, and several LA contemporary companies including Royal Flux and Embodiment; who were on Season 2 of World of Dance. Struther is currently on faculty with Titans of Dance and Elite Dance Conventions.
Adam Parson – Jazz / Lyrical
Adam was born in Nairobi, Kenya and lived in other African cities for 14 years before moving to the United States (Maryland). In Blantyre, Malawi, he attended a British boarding school packed with international students beginning a bonding to other cultures, foods, and people. After moving to the United States, Adam did gymnastics, studied languages and computer programming all in the hopes of being able to travel and visit his friends from all over the globe. He worked happily as a computer programmer and accountant in Georgetown, Washingtion D. C., until one day his siter asked him to drive a friend to dance class. When they arrive, he heard the music, saw the dancers, and was hooked. He started taking dance class at 26 years old and has been in the performing arts industry as a dancer, choreographer, producer, and artistic director. Always curious, Adam recently acquired his FAA sUAS Drone Pilot’s license, to further expand his choreographic reach. Adam continues to grow and expand his art, through travel, education, and interaction.
Michele Ceballos – Ballet / Neo Classical
Michele was born in New York City and began her dance training at 6 in Bogota, Columbia with Vladimir, Volski of the Bolshoi Ballet. She continued in New York City at Thalia Mara’s National Academy of Ballet & Theatre Arts; the American Ballet Theatre school with Leon Danielian, Patricia Wilde and Jurgen Snieder; the Joffrey Ballet School with Basil Thompson; and independently with Gabriela Darvash, David Howard, Maggie Black, NYC Ballet and Louie Falco & Co. In London at the Royal Ballet School with Maryon Lane, Eileen Ward and Piers Beaumont; and the Vaganova method teachers training at the Institute Paliashvili in Tbilsi, Georgia SSR. Michele has danced apprentice, corps de ballet, to principal roles with the American Ballet Theatre, the Sadlers Wells Royal Ballet, Deutsch Oper Am Rhine, Dusseldorf, Ballet Hispanico of New York, Ruth Page’s Chicago Ballet, Ballet Mississippi, El Ballet Nacional de Colombia and competed in the 1983 International Ballet competition in Varna Bulgaria representing Columbia. Michele continues to teach nationally and internationally as a founding member of the LIVE Art performance troupe, La Pocha Nostra with a focus on art, activism, and healing.
Kelly Allen – Ballet / Jazz
Kelly Allen is a working professional dancer and assistant/associate choreographer on numerous projects for live shows, television & film. She has been instrumental to over 50+ TV/film series over the past 18 years. Kelly grew up and trained on the central coast of California at the prestigious Pat Jacksons American Dance, later known as American Dance of SLO. After moving to Los Angeles, she began performing for and assisting some of the dance industry’s most influential choreographers.
Kelly most recently worked on Miss USA and Miss Teen USA 2023 & 2024 as assistant choreographer to Stacy Walker. Other recent work includes 5 season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel as a dancer & associate choreographer to Marguerite Derricks and associate choreographer to Jennifer Hamilton on 3 seasons of Physical. Choreography on Physical was nominated for an Emmy in 2024! Other recent work includes Interior Chinatown, Little America, Roar, and High Desert.
A few of Kelly’s favorite dance credits include: Katy Perry’s “Chained to the Rhythm” music video, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Physical, The Affair, Superstore, Glee, Bunheads, Behind the Candelabra, The Disney Channel commercials, Frozen, Two Broke Girls, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Nike, Amway, Lexus, Samsun, Napa Auto, PEARL Lincoln Center and international tour, Rose Parade, “The Who’s Tommy” musical with Tony Award winner Alice Ripley, artist Natasha Bedingfield, Celebrat10n Walt Disney Concert Hall, Dance Camera West at Getty Museum, and “OPEN” Ford Amphitheater and tour for world renown choreographer Daniel Ezralow.
As well as performing, Kelly has had many wonderful choreography opportunities. Choreographing for Target’s spring commercial campaign and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, G.L.O.W., feature film POMS with Diane Keaton, Westworld, Katy Perry, 22nd annual Critics Choice Awards, Criminal Minds, Scorpion, Heathers the Musical, Starving in Suburbia, Barbie Live! Musical international tour, The Sing-Off, So You Think You Can Dance, Skating with the Stars, Primetime Emmy Awards, Billie Holiday Hologram Show at Apollo Theater. She as been dance assistant for the films Behind the Candelabra, No Strings Attached, The Campaigns and for celebrities such as Sutton Foster, Kate Hudson, Paula Abdul, David Hasselhoff, Smokey Robinson, Nicole Sherzinger. Kelly was also the Associate Choreographer to Jennifer Hamilton for NBC’s Superbowl promo with celebrities such as Kristen Wigg, Amy Poehler, and Tina Fey.
Kelly continues to push herself to new heights and broaden her career as an International artist and performer!
