Dear Nutcracker Families,

Our 12 Days of Nutcracker Gift Card Tree Opportunity Drawing is coming soon! This is an incredible way to help raise funds to continue our beloved tradition of a live Nutcracker Orchestra. Many of us have unused gift cards, in fact a study by Credit Summit last year estimated that Americans have a collective $21 billion in unspent cards! We are asking for you to donate any unused gift cards you may have to the Nutcracker Gift Card Tree that will be bundled together and then given away as prizes in the 12 days of opportunity drawings.

We will be collecting gift cards beginning Monday, October 2nd through Wednesday, October 18th. Please turn any donated gift cards into the front desk. The gift card tree will be on display in the lobby beginning Saturday, October 21st. Tickets to enter the Nutcracker Gift Card Tree Opportunity Drawing will be available to purchase from the Parent Guild at a table in the lobby. Tickets to enter are $20. You can continue to purchase tickets throughout the 12 days to increase your odds of winning a specific gift card!

Last year this was a successful fundraiser for the studio that helped us raise $3,000 towards the Nutcracker Orchestra. If every dancer in the cast this year sells five tickets for the opportunity drawing, we will quadruple the money raised totaling $15,000!

To help encourage ticket sales we are having a friendly competition. The Nutcracker cast has been divided alphabetically into four teams with four studio captains:

Team Ann – Last name Aldana thru Crites
Team Alicia – Last name Daniel thru Hatala
Team Erica – Last name Hathaway thru Pineda
Team Milissa – Last name Rider thru Wuertz

The team that sells the most tickets will get a trophy and bragging rights for the year.

Additionally, the dancer/family that sells the most tickets will get one backstage parking spot for the whole week of dress rehearsals and performances at Mechanics Bank Theater!

The 12 Days of Nutcracker Opportunity Drawings for gift card bundles and the grand prize of a professionally decorated tree will take place Wednesday, November 8th through Sunday, November 19th.
